Can the machine be cleaned wet?

The machines are designed according to protection class IP54. Wet cleaning of the machines inside the cutting and packaging room is not recommended as moisture and bread crumbs directly cause the formation of mold spores.

Wet cleaning should therefore only take place outside the cutting and packaging room: components of the machine, such as guide plates, can be dismantled and cleaned at an external washing area. After drying and disinfection, the hygienically flawless dry components can be inserted into the device and reused.

Change kits allow cleaning and preparation in addition to the production operation.

How loud is a machine by GHD Hartmann?

The noise emission initially depends on the type of machine. Packaging machines, cutters or systems for grouping are fundamentally different due to the different functions.

Another factor is the nature of the products, which can behave differently during processing and transportation. A machine may be very quiet at idle, but produces varying amounts of noise during processing, depending on the products.

The type of cover also has a great influence on the noise emission: Polycarbonate viewing covers significantly reduce the noise level, while perforated grids can not significantly reduce noise emissions.

As a rule, the maximum noise emission of the machines is not more than 78 dB (A).

Which controls can GHD Hartmann Maschinenbau offer?

In addition to contactor controls for simple devices, GHD Hartmann Maschinenbau offers systems from the manufacturer Omron as a standard controller for more complex tasks.

Siemens or Allen Bradley are available as options.

What compressed air quality is recommended for machine use in the food industry?

According to ISO 8573-1 with reference to VDMA standard sheet 15390-2, we specify a compressed air quality that we recommend when using the machines and devices.

Which bag closures can GHD Hartmann offer?

The type of bag closure depends on the machine type. Some devices are designed exclusively for one type of closure, others can be delivered with different closure systems. A machine can only be executed with a kind of bag closure. Later conversions are partly possible.

Clip closure: The closure used very often in Europe. Cost effective with the possibility of printing on the closure. Good to use for PE bags, PP bags and paper bags.

Hart-Lock / Kwik-Lok®: Widely used in North America and Asia. No metal component in the closure, but difficult or undetectable. Unsuitable for paper bags. A printing of the closure is possible.

Tape - Closure: In the United Kingdom, in English-speaking countries and occasionally in Africa, the tape closure is applied. Hartmann offers this type of closure in packaging machines and specially designed sealing devices. A printing of the tape closure is possible.

Sealing / Welding: The sealing of bags with a sealing system is available for different machine types. Here is to pay attention to the nature of the packaging material and its welding properties. For pillow packs, the sealing of packaging films takes place on the longitudinal and transverse sides. Depending on the machine type, the film projections are cut off during sealing.

Quality closure: In addition to the clip closure or Kwik-Lok ®, a quality closure can optionally be introduced within the GHD Hartmann packaging machine. This closure is either one or two rows and switchable. It increases the security against external manipulation in sales.

Twist - Closure: Widely used in South America and the English-speaking world. GHD Hartmann can not offer an integration within the packaging machines. This closure is placed after packing the products in the bag with a separate device. The removal of air from the bags when closing is technically not possible here.

PP 30

The HARTMANN PP 30 automatic pillow packaging machine is a modular packaging machine that can be assembled according to customer's requirements.

Variable package sizes with up to 30-40 products meet special market requirements and product-specific conditions. The packaging consists of an upper and lower continuous foil, between which the products are grouped and tightly sealed. Optional sealing units allow subdivisions of the packages with or without separating cut.

The system's modular design enables it to be combined with product slicing systems for slicing and separating slices before packaging. An automatic basket loader is optionally available for after packaging.
