The first machine

In 1969, Johannes Hartmann built the first packing machine for sliced bread. 

Since then more than 4,000 machines have been delivered to 50 countries worldwide by continuously developing and expanding the product range.

GHD Georg Hartmann Maschinenbau GmbH is located in Delbrück. Here 150 people produce exclusively bespoke machinery on a 7000 square meter site.
